Types of Files We Accept.

For you techies…the best type of image file to send is a Corel Draw (.cdr) file.  This will produce the best engraving image.

For the rest of us…the following is a list of files that we accept.  They are ranked in order of best to worst.

     1.     Tif  (.tif)
     2.     Bitmap (.bmp)
     3.     Jpeg (.jpg)

Resolution and File Size

A standard rule of thumb is the higher the resolution the better the engraved image.  A quality photo will be at least 600 dpi.  We accept image files up to 2 MB in size.  If your file is beyond 2 MB, we may have to make alternate arrangements to obtain the files.

If you have an actual photo you would like to use, please contact us to make arrangements.  An additional charge may apply.

Photocopies, newspaper and magazine images will also produce poor results.

Disclaimers
If you copy an image file from your favorite web site, more than likely it will be a 72 dpi image.  These low-resolution images do not make for a high quality engraved image.

One Foot Engrave operates with the understanding that if you send us an image file to be engraved, you have already secured all copyright and trademark licenses.
